WILDERNESS CAMPING ON THE SUNSHINE COAST

Remote camping close to Secret Cove in Halfmoon Bay. Located 1.75 kms up the well groomed Homesite Creek Forest Service Road off Hwy #101. We have 30 campsites of various sizes to suit your needs. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit.

 

There are no hook-ups,  no running water, or bathrooms/showers, but there are outhouses onsite. There is no sani-dump.  Washing water can be obtained from the creek, but drinking water should be brought in. 

Cell service is available, but there is no Wifi due to being remote.

Firewood is not available at this time, please bring your own. 

 

BE BEAR AWARE

 NO garbage or recycle bins on site

You must pack out what you packed in.

Please keep and leave your campsite clean to avoid wildlife conflict.

 

RESERVATIONS POLICY

HOMESITE CREEK RECREATIONAL CAMPGROUND

 

 

Reservations may be made starting April 29, 2024 for the camping season.

Reservations must be made and paid for a minimum of 2 days prior to your arrival date.

Your reservation is NOT secured until paid.

 

MAXIMUM STAY IS 14 DAYS FOR BOTH RESERVATIONS AND FIRST COME FIRST SERVE SITES

 

A $18 non-refundable reservation fee will be charge for each site you wish to reserve. This fee is on top of, not included in the site fees.

 

LONG WEEKENDS

A 3 night minimum fee applies for long weekends. The $18 non-refundable per site fee still applies.

IE : 3 days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or Saturday, Sunday and Monday depending on the holiday.

 

REFUNDS / CANCELLATIONS

Refunds are available if cancelled 14 days or more prior to your arrival date.

Your reservation may be transferred to another date within this years camping season if a site is available for your new requested dates.

The 10 days prior to the arrival date still applies to rebook your reservation.

Reservations are non-transferrable.

No refund exceptions will be made inside the 14 day cancellation policy.

 

DISCOUNTS

No discounts will be provided to seniors or persons with disabilities on reservations.

 

NO SHOW POLICY

Reservations are held until 9:30 pm on your arrival date. You forfeit your reservation after that time unless the camp host is notified via email in advance of 9:30 pm about a later arrival time on your arrival date.

There are no refunds for no shows.

 

FIRST COME FIRST SERVE SITES

 

WE CANNOT COMMENT ON THE AVAILABILITY OF FCFS SITES

 

ALL FCFS SITES ARE CASH ONLY

FCFS will not be reserved, NO exceptions.

 

NO SITE HOLDING: Unpaid sites held by your belongings must be paid for by 9:00pm.

Camp host must be notified by email if you will be in after 9:00pm

Your site will be considered abandoned after 9:00pm and your belongings will be removed "AT YOUR EXPENSE" if not paid by that time.

Please see or email camp host for the return of your belongings if this happens.

There must be at least 1 adult on site from 9:30pm through the night for every night of your stay.

There are no refunds after the camping permit is issued.

 

FEES    

CHECK IN 12:00 NOON.   CHECK OUT 12:00 NOON

Single Sites : 1 - 6 people, 1 vehicle included as maximum capacity = $18 per night.

Double Sites : 7 - 12 people minimum, 2 vehicles as maximum capacity = $36 per night.

 

Extra vehicle parking fees : an additional fee of $9.00 per night per vehicle applies and is to be paid in CASH on site, unless already paid for through a reservation.

***Extra vehicle parking fees apply to all licensed vehicles, including motorcycles.

 

All persons count including children of any age.

If you exceed the person capacity for your site, you will be charged double the site fee. How ever this will allow you to double the site capacity regulations.

11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

ALL VISITORS MUST LEAVE BY 10:30 PM

 

MAKING A RESERVATION

EMAIL :  homesitecreek@gmail.com for availability and to request a reservation form.

Please include in your email :

How many people in your party, children included.

How many licensed vehicles including motorcycles.

How you will be camping : Tents, campers or trailers.

Arrival and departure dates.

 

If a site is available, you will be sent a formal reservation form.

You will also be notified if there is no availability for your dates, leaving FCFS as your option.

Please fill in your reservation form and return it via email to homesitecreek@gmail.com

Based on the information that you provide, you will be emailed the expected fees. Your fees are due at that time.

Please pay via e-transfer to homesitecreek@gmail.com. Auto deposit is set up, no security question required.

Sorry Credit Cards are NOT accepted.

Once payment is received you will be emailed your site number. Please contact us if your payment went through and you have not received your site number after 24 hours of payment.

Payment must be made no longer than 2 days (48 hours) after receipt of your "Fees Due" notification email.

If payment is not received within 2 days, your site will become available to waiting reservation prospects and you forfeit your pending reservation.

Fees must be paid no later than 10 days prior to your arrival date or you forfeit your pending reservation. 

 

HOMESITE CREEK SITES

Homesite Creek Recreational Campground has 30 well treed and well spaced sites.

19 sites can be reserved, 2 of which are double sites for groups.

When reserving, your site is chosen for you based on availability  and your parties  specifics.

11 sites are FCFS. You may choose your own FCFS site. However please consider others in your choice.

If a reserve-able site has not been reserved on your camping date, the site will be available on a FCFS basis until the next paid reservation date comes due, or 14 days whichever comes first.

 

Please Note : All emails are responded to as soon as possible, usually in the morning or evening hours.

However you will not receive a response if you have questions that have already been answered either on the Website, Facebook page or reservation/FCFS pre-booking correspondence.
